Throughout this time Darren had established a large client base and built up a name for himself and the service which was being provided which assisted in the initial set up of FEMG. Darren has great passion for fire safety and has an enormous knowledge base regarding the regulations and formalities which govern the industry. While Darren has a family away from FEMG, he also considers the employees who work for FEMG as family and this shows throughout his HR role. Darren is a very Community minded person which has seen him heavily involved with various Organisations over the years. Ramon has been busy implementing the current software we use to manage the day to day running of FEMG. Ramon is passionate about fire safety and has helped build FEMG into the striving company it is today, initially he saw the opportunity for FEMG to expand and prosper and found it a bit daunting going against National Companies. When asked what his favourite thing about FEMG was, he simply said ‘Seeing what has been achieved over the years’. Ramon has been a retained Fire Fighter with the Port Augusta MFS since 1997. Ramon, in recent years, has caught the travelling bug and is always on the lookout for the next holiday destination or concert so he can get away with his wife, Sharon. He is a family man and enjoys the company of his Children and Grandkids.

Wade Kammermann

Wade is the Director based in our Port Pirie Office. Wade had already established a client base in the Port Pirie region and decided to venture out and work with Darren, Ramon and Garry to establish FEMG. Wade oversees the day to day running of our Port Pirie Office which not only includes scheduling services for his Technicians but also the administration side. He currently manages three Technicians and works with them to ensure his ever-expanding region is efficiently and professionally serviced. Wade, with his Technicians, cover the Port Pirie, Mid North, Yorke, Broken Hill and Adelaide regions. Wades passion for Fire Safety saw him join the MFS in 1994, it is this same passion that makes him provide our clients with a professional and courteous service. Wade tends to spend his downtime travelling between wineries with wife Tina. He’s also Crows supporter – which he likes to mention when they win!

Administration Assistant

Ebony joined our Administration Team in May 2017. Ebony tackles the day to day invoicing, prepares for our trips to the APY Lands and assists with account enquiries and debt collection, as well as anything else thrown her way! Ebony is our resident proof-reader and OCD consultant which tends to frustrate a lot of us! Anyone who knows Ebony knows she can be found in front of a big screen at a local establishment cheering on her Swannies or playing ‘Mum’ to Ajax.

Workshop technician

Nathan first begun with FEMG in 2008, he then left to see what other challenges life could throw at him. He came back to us in 2017 and it felt like he had never left us! He is our Workshop Technician in charge of the day to day running of our ‘Powder Room’ and assists with training our new Technicians. Nathan and wife Cheryl have a young family which keeps them busy and on the road for their various sporting pursuits. When he gets a quiet weekend home, Nathan has a talent for building things.

Darryle has been a fixture with FEMG since 2001, servicing mostly the Roxby, Leigh Creek and Marree Areas. Darryle enjoys sharing his wisdom with our other technicians and is always up for a chat. Darryle is FEMGs Work Health and Safety Officer and has flourished in this role ensuring our Offices, Workshops and Vehicles remain safe and compliant. Away from the FEMG life, Darryle likes to spend time with loved ones, pistol shooting and messing around on his computer.

Ryan is our longest serving Technician at our Port Pirie Office, having started in 2010. Ryan is known as ‘The Machine’ because of the amount of work he can get through daily. Ryan generally services the Adelaide and Yorke Peninsula locations. Ryan’s knowledge in the field is extensive and is always willing to provide wisdom. Ryan is a Crows man and loves to fish.

Mick started with us in November 2018 and is hoping to use his background in security to specialise in servicing Fire Panels and VESDAs. Mick tends to travel and service the Ceduna and Port Lincoln areas. FEMG being a family orientated company is what attracted Mick to life as a technician as he has a large family which keeps him busy.

James B

Jimmy started in March 2017 and mostly services the APY Lands and Coober Pedy Region. Jimmy likes being on the road and seeing the various locations around the state. Jimmy has learned a lot in his time with us and is always on hand to help our newbies. In his downtime he enjoys having a hit of golf and watching sport or movies on his big screen.

James V

Sticks joined the team in March 2018. He is an active member of the Country Fire Service and has bought this experience into his role as a technician. Sticks works from our Port Augusta Office and mostly services the Ceduna/Port Lincoln areas. Sticks got off to a shaky start having been in the ‘Powder Room’ when one of the powder bins ‘exploded’ covering him and the Powder Room in a thick layer of white powder! Being a Crows man, he spends his weekends watching football and enjoys the odd Karaoke Night!

Sam is the newest edition to our Port Pirie team, having started in September 2018. Sam, like all our other Technicians, enjoys travelling around our service areas and meeting clients. Sam, loving to travel, was sent to the APY Lands, on this trip he encountered a hungry donkey who stole a loaf of bread from the back of his 4WD which has now been dubbed ‘The Great Bread Heist of 2019’. Spending time with his friends and family is generally what you will find Sam doing on his time off.

Hayley is one of our 2018 newbies. Starting in November, Hayley had quickly showed a lot of promise and continues to learn as much as she can. Hayley likes to travel to our service areas and see the different sights and people South Australia has to offer. While Hayley hasn’t been with us for long, she certainly has a lot of stories to tell. There is always service with a smile. Hayley has family in Adelaide and frequently visits them, she also likes to have a bit of a shoot at the Quorn Pistol Club.

Peter started at FEMG in September 2012 and has become one of our AFFF Suppression System Gurus. Crutey loves to share his experiences at FEMG and always has something to say in our team meetings which gets us all laughing. In recent years our company has changed with the electronic age, Peter has adapted to this change well and is always progressing with his technological knowledge. In his downtime, Crutey is a keen golfer who loves to spend time with his mates and his lovely (and very tolerant) wife Joy.

Chris started with us in March 2019 and is still eagerly learning the trade.  On weekends he enjoys fishing, camping, watching Port Adelaide, gaming and spending time with family.
